FLUIDITY : STILLS

The last post in the FLUIDITY series is this work with photographer Jason Loucas.  A still series that explores the fluid form with the beauty of contrasting textural layers.

FLUIDITY : ART

The FLUIDITY series continues this week, with a beautiful collection of my favourite art and objects incorporating the notion of structure vs. softness. Delicate, textural inspiration encapsulating the beauty of transition and movement. Enjoy this incredible collection of work..

FLUIDITY : FASHION

Working with my dear friend, the uber talented photographer Richard Freeman on this project, we were both very inspired by the concept of capturing the form of movement.

Exploring both textural contrast, and the beauty and synergy of opposite materials... of chunky wool, leather and tulle, structure vs. softness.

I had the pleasure of working with some beautiful handknitted pieces from my dear creative               co-conspirator Jacqui Fink of Little Dandelion.  I loved using these pieces in a fashion context, as scarves and oversized necklaces, as well as using some of my newest wearable LH Objects.

CYGNE NOIR PART 4 :  SET THE TABLE : FOOD ART

It's a play on graphic structure, shapes layers and tones in todays Food Art post.

I created these very special images with the very talented photographer Vanessa Levis  to work back with the previous weeks on this trend. Vanessa is a long time friend and I have always loved our collaborative projects.

In the Cygne Noir Series so far we've looked at Fashion , Still Life and and Art Inspiration.
so I am still using the moody dark palette of Black, Charcoal with highlights of greys and White.

I hope this Artistic series of images can provide inspiration for dinner party planning concepts.. or just to enjoy some Food as Art images.

Next week I am moving on to a new series that is truly going to be something special ..they are some of my favourite images to date .. and I look forward to sharing the first installment on next Monday's post!

LE CYGNE NOIR : ART

PART 3 : ART

So while we're on the tangent of this beautiful sophisticated graphic exploration of the trend CYGNE NOIR, I have some exquisite art I've come across to share for inspiration this week.

The simplicity of these artworks creates a dramatic effect, with sculptural pieces adding a layer of dimensionality to a monochromatic colour scheme.

What drew me in with each is both the textural and structural nature... as well as the very delicate sense of balance and harmony.

I hope you enjoy the curated collection of these very special treasures in this weeks post.

LE CYGNE NOIR : BLACK AND TEXTURE

PART 2 :  STILL LIFE

I have so been looking forward to sharing these incredible images.

Something very special to inspire today.

The mystery, the beauty, the decay.  The way the light catches the dark and brings it to life. The beauty and simplicity of the symmetry and balance.

Working on this set of Still Life images really was a very special process for me. Photographer Richard Freeman and I had collaborated on PART 1 : FASHION, the fashion images seen on the last Beauty Found post.

Working on this collection of images and achieving a similar feel with objects that work back into the fashion story was both a challenge and a joy.  Still Life in this form is not the everyday for Richard, which made the process even more special.  Watch this space: we will see more incredible Still Life beauty from him in the near future, I'm sure.

Props all Stylist's own.
